Sister Silliness

On a regular 'ol playday, just a normal, everyday kind-of day, I enjoyed a little bit of hilarity this morning watching my girls in what has become their commonplace routine: we love each other to pieces, we can't get enough of each other, huggy, kissy, oh-so-adorable, playing, giggling, etc... switch with no warning to oh, wait, don't follow me, stay away from me, don't touch the toy I'm touching or thinking about touching, don't even look at my sippy cup even though I just drank out of yours two seconds ago, freakouts. It's rather funny since they both play each part at different times. Yesterday Mia was hugging Alice so tight and so often that Ali got a little perturbed and heartily used her best fake cry whenever her sister came a little too close. One minute Mia is madly in love with her sister - singing to her, tickling her, talking to her so sweetly, playing with her, sharing her toys and snack, making sure Ali has her nuk or whatever it is Mia thinks she needs at that moment. The next minute she is shrieking, running away from Ali who thinks it's all too funny and crawl-chases her. Wait til she really picks up this walking business ;) This morning Ali kept trying to climb into the car with her sister-and she got pushed down twice. Mia ended up in a timeout :( Didn't do much good though, because shortly after, Mia was not wanting Ali to follow her and "take her juice," so she ran down the hallway. Naturally Alice followed her. Duh. So Mia took off her crocs and threw them both at Ali!
Lil' stinker. My mom said sibling interactions can sure be "funny." Absolutely. Mostly they love each other, though, so I think it's all good. And see below-they can play nice in the car together. Imagine.

The Ali drama post - still not finished, not sure if I even want to. Monkey birthday pictures and post coming SOON. Stay tuned.
