Quick update

It's been very busy and I haven't had a chance to post. I have many, many updates and pictures but won't have time for too much here... I've started several posts and stories but never get to finish them or load the pictures. But wanted to share some of the biggies-
Alice is walking, running, climbing like crazy and she even tries to copy her sister and jump. At the end of June she was staggering like a drunken sailor-now she's got quite a bit of body control and balance. She freaks me out with her shenanigans on a daily basis, but it's all part of the learning-I know that. We've reentered with gusto the era of bumps and bruises. But we're having so much fun. In addition to her new found physical agility, she's babbling like a maniac-she never stops "talking." Her new favorite words are "uppie" and "puppy" and making kiss sounds while she loves up all the babies and stuffed animals that constantly dot our floors. She uses gesturing and sounds and for the most part can completely convey her desires at any given moment. It's pretty awesome.
Amelia's big news of the day is that she has started potty training. Tuesday afternoon (while she was supposed to be napping) she sat quietly in her room and stripped herself of her diaper, and put on her new Dora undies. She tried several times unsuccessfully on the potty and eventually poor Dora got soaked :( But Wednesday morning, she refused her diaper and wanted a "whull up" instead. She *maybe* went a tiny little drop on the big girl potty-so she's getting her new princess backpack. It's been wet pullups all morning today. She has been saying she has to go potty but it's always JUST after she's already gone in the pullup. So I'm not sure if she's quite ready or not-but she's into it, so what the hey! We're going with it.
Pictures galore and catch-up stories to be posted as soon as possible!
