Oh, wait.
Alice climbed, steaming mad and screaming at the top of her lungs, out of her crib, a total of eleven times today. 10 during "nap time." Once more before she finally caved and closed her eyes for a split second at about 8:30. She just kind of catapults herself out of there, too-it seems a little bit dangerous. This afternoon she pushed a chair over behind the couch, and then tried to jump on the cushion, missed and crashed face first into the hardwood. The ottoman broke up the fall a bit, so she came out of it relatively unscathed. She's a terror anyway, but today in particular. It's day one of no bottles, cold turkey. Also, we figured we'd use what was sure to be an already torturous time, to get the girls into an acceptable bed-time routine. For Ali, no more sleeping in Mom and Dad's bed, or drinking whole milk to your heart's content (and then some) all. night. long. For Mia, going to bed without anyone laying with you, and sleeping all night.
All things considered, it wasn't that bad today. Ali didn't have a nap, but at 9:30 pm, the house is quiet. Ahhhh....
But it's only day one, and it's still early. I'll be sure to keep you posted.
On a not at all related topic: I just think these are funny.
Here's Ali practicing her fake sneeze:
I wonder where she comes up with this stuff... oh, wait:
(after about 45 seconds, this one gets pretty lame)
