The sound of our backyard.

On April 21st, we got our swingset! The girls were in love at first sight. We've played on it nearly every day-only the rain keeps us away. It's also been really windy, and a few days ago Mia was getting very concerned... she didn't want her swingset to blow away! So far it's been our castle, a pirate ship, a princess ballroom, a house, a fort, we've played tag, and monsters, and swung, and swung, and swung to our hearts' content. The neighborhood kids come over-and they all just have so much fun playing together-it is awesome. AWESOME.
Mia is so brave and adventurous-it makes me both very proud and very nervous. She has figured out how to flip herself with the trapeze bar/rings, and on her belly on the swing she can run and hop herself to heights she's quite pleased with (she says my underdogs aren't high enough!). She also really likes to twist the swing and let herself spin spin spin! She spins herself with her feet when she's on the tire swing. Makes me dizzy just thinking about it. She climbs up the slide and walks down it. It's amazing watching her come up with these things and try them out-she's very determined-and how quickly she gets to be so good at it. Classic kid stuff, I love it!!
One of my favorite things about the swingset is hearing Ali ask for a "huuuuuuuuuuuge ungadog." It just melts my heart-so cute, I can't stand it.
