Just a regular-old Friday update...

Well, the first week back into reality flew by with few hitches. I can't believe it's Friday already. We didn't get back into quite the improved routine I was hoping for, but hey, there's always next week, right?! Started off Monday morning with the girls visiting Poppa while Mom went for a doctor's appointment... which was cancelled (because the doctor had to leave for a delivery) after I had sat in the waiting room for close to an hour. No big deal, but grr--what a waste of time to myself. The week "ended" today with mom going back to the doctor for her check-up while Dama watched the girls. In between we did have a lot of fun. Dad had hockey on Monday night, as always. Mia has her own hockey stick that JD cut down to size and taped up nicely for her, and she loves to tell me that she has to "go to hockey." Tuesday and Wednesday we just chilled out, and last night Spence, Shannon (and even more exciting, sorry guys) Jules and "Baby Bob" a.k.a Dylan came over for pizza!! Ali and Dylan had a jump off... Dylan had the unfair advantage of being in the jumperoo while Ali was in the excersaucer. They just cooed and gurgled at each other with all the sounds they know how to make and jumped away. We had them facing each other, and Jules and Mia were all over 'em. Mia goes for Dylan, and Jules goes for Alice. It's kindof funny how they each like the other's sibling when we all get together. Of course they both love their own sibling, too, but it seems like someone else's baby is all the more exciting. SO much so in fact that sometimes Amelia calls baby Ali "Baby Bob" and when I tell her, "no, that's Ali - that's your sister".... she informs me that no, she's going to call baby Ali "Baby Bob". She knows exactly what she's doing. I say, "oh, are you pretending that Ali is baby Bob?" "Mmmhmm." For me, the most exciting part of the other Dahl fam coming over to visit (again, sorry guys - we really do love you!!!) is the fact that our house (which was disasterous) is now clean and as clutter-free as it gets. So I'm enjoying the calming feeling of being in a neat house. A feeling that I love, despite the wretched process of getting it there that I despise... but there's nothing like company coming over to make you hop to ;)
A few pictures, with my new (small) digi - which I LOVE. (Thank you Santa!)
