It was a beautiful Easter day - sunny and warm, and lovely. We had the most fabulous brunch and dinner and got to hang out with both sides of the family. After Halloween and Christmas, Easter rings in as a close third for Mia, I think -- my GOD the candy that gal ate today. TWO egg hunts, TONS of Easter goodies, and the candy, oh, the candy. She's got a gigantic sweet tooth, just like her mom - she was in heaven. Plus, seeing all her favorite people and going to TWO Poppa/Dama houses. Pretty awesome. As a side note, I re-discovered (as I do every Easter) my addiction to Regina's jelly beans. Oh, they're so good.
Of course, it was Ali's first Easter which is pretty special. Alice and Amelia had these super cute matching dresses and they just both looked so beautiful. All dolled up in their little white tights and new spring shoes. Easter pics are plentiful-to be posted separately. :)
Kind of random story, but it was funny. You probably had to be there - but whatever: tonight was the first time Mia showed any awareness of the feeling of a limb "falling asleep." She was sitting on her feet for the longest time, eating a snack, and watching "The Sound of Music" on TV (with which she was fascinated)... she went to get up and she was like,
"Mom, my feet ringing! What's happening?" I don't think she liked it very much but I asked her if her feet hurt, and she said "no, they're just ringing." I'm not sure what word she was trying to say - maybe she was saying "ringing" but I think it was a good description for the tingling. :)
Ali walks around like crazy while you hold on to her hands. It's her new favorite way to get around. She likes to do this all the time. She gets so excited and she can cruise FAST. It's a lower back-killer though.
Many new things she's been eating: canteloupe, mango, peaches, chunks of potato, cooked carrot, cooked peas, beans, green beans, spaghettios, mac & cheese... Almost EVERYTHING these days - except (of course) the standard no-no's like peanuts/nuts, eggs, honey, etc.

Last weekend we colored eggs with Poppa Dama Dahl and all the cousins, and last night we colored eggs with Poppa/Dama Huber and Aunnie and Kenny. Some cute pics... I'll post those separately, too. It takes a little while to upload the photos, and there's quite a few here.
Como Conservatory on Friday, with Dama, BDama, and Benny...

Bowling with Nat, Jay, and Mia's boys. :) Note that Mia loves talking on her play cell phone and very often she "calls" the boys and has these long, elaborate conversations with them. "Hi boys! How you doing? Doing good, ok, Mia doing good too. OK (she says this a LOT during her pretend convo). Wanna go play bowling (is one of many things she might suggest they do, or for instance, many times it is 'Wanna go to the zoo?' and many other things she likes to do)? OK, ask your mom, ask Cole." Then she'll get off the phone and tell me the boys can't go bowling because they have to go to school. And SHE's going to go to school, too. Someday.

Nat and I went glasses shopping on Friday night. Jay came and hung out with JD and the girls, which Mia very much enjoyed - of course! Everyone loves Jay :) So then Saturday morning, and this morning Mia has been going in her car... To "see Jay. (long pause) and Natalie, TOO!). It's pretty awesome.
