Here it is, July 22nd, and I realize that I haven't posted in 11 days. Reality check: we're BUSY! Even though I have every intention of posting every day, or at the very least tracking the cute and sweet things Mia and Ali do, I haven't had a chance to barely even open up the computer. And, let's face it, I've forgotten nearly all the cute/sweet things they've done in the last 11 days, or at least don't have the vivid recall to be able to put the stories into print. This is going to be a quick post, since nap time is almost over and we have a busy night of seeing both grandmas and papas and Dad's roller hockey game. Over that last week and a half a LOT has happened. Papa Dan had a major emergency surgery and will be in recovery for the next several months. He was just released from the hospital this past Saturday after spending the entire week. Work has commenced on the backyard landscape project (though so far JD is the only one who has done any of the work). You go, honey! We spent the weekend before this past one up at Sylvia. We had an absolute blast. One of my favorite pics from the weekend will appear with this post. This past weekend we were in town for Natalie & Casey's birthday parties and Aunnie's grad party Sunday evening. It's been a whirlwind, but good times had by all.
Quick Mia update - she's HUGE. I look at pictures from two weekends ago even and she's SO much bigger now. She's talking non-stop. Putting words together and communicating like a little grown up. She calls for the cat : "C'mon Now (cat - i.e., "meow" sounds like now) does the hand gesture and then kisses for him. Pretty darn cute.
Quick Ali update - she's even HUGER! I know that's not a word, I was just trying to be funny. But, seriously, she has grown to be a chubster with these skinny long little feet. She's the polar opposite of a pinhead, she's a pinfeet. She's still our little pipsqueak. Happy baby, loves to snuggle and cuddle. Totally follows ya with her whole head now, and she holds her head up quite well. She's a strong little cookie. When she's not hiccupping or tootin' or eatin' (as Mia likes to say) or sleeping, she's smiling. And, just like her sister, it's a smile that lights up the whole room.
Just one of my fave pics from the lake (above) and the next two are Mia & Jules at Cascade Bay
